What Are The Consequences Of Not Confessing Your sins Every Week?

While "Confession" is generally a practice familiar to the Catholic Christian Sect, the premise remains the same across all Christian sects alike; the Acknowledgement of one's wrongdoings against GOD.

Is there dire consequences to foregoing one's weekly confession?

Perhaps there should be a much greater concern as to why you are “confessing sins every week” as a professing Christian. It is the same in nature as a Husband who confesses to committing adultery every week; repeatedly apologizing to his wife for his lack of discipline to be faithful in honoring his vow of loyalty to her. The element of faithfulness is not present. Genuine change, growth, and transformation hinges on the discipline of commitment.

A Christian is literally defined as:

  • One who steadfastly follows/obeys the teachings of Christ

  • One who manifests the qualities and spirit of Jesus Christ

(American Heritage Dictionary 5th ed. 2016)

A Question that every sinning "Christian" must ask themselves, "How are you obeying Christ’s teachings while in the very act of sin???" This is certainly not a manifestation of the spirit of Christ! Something is terribly amiss here! To profess that one is a Christian and yet not actually a Biblically defined Christian, in the true sense of the word, is sheer hypocrisy.

Slaves To Sin

Jesus said that those who commit sin are the slaves of sin (John 8, KJV). If they are slaves to sin, then it is apparent that they are not slaves/servants of Christ unto righteousness (Romans 16:15-23, KJV).

They are still in bondage to sin!

This is major!

If they are still in bondage to sin, they are not FREE.

Do you know what this means?

It means that Jesus’ spirit was never there…they were not Biblically “Born-Again”.

How do we scripturally verify this?

2 Corinthians 3:17, KJV

“Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty/freedom” …NOT bondage!

FREEDOM

Jesus did not promise the “hope” to be free. Jesus did not say, Have “faith” that you will be set free…one day soon! No.

The scriptures declare that, WHERE THE SPIRIT OF JESUS DWELLS THERE IS FREEDOM!

The chains are literally broken; it is no longer a hope.

Tell me, Why are the modern day professing Christians still bound to sin? Apart from the obvious absence of Jesus' spirit; It is a stark revelation of what their hearts desire; the desire of wickedness over righteousness. The heart is drawn to what it has spiritually connected with.

Why confess if you will just return next week?

Proverbs 26:11, KJV

“As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly”

Shall a fool enter into the gates of Heaven, into the presence of the ALMIGHTY ONE?

Those who are not FREE remain in bondage! This state of the professing Christian is a result of misinformation regarding the true message and purpose of Jesus. If you are a professing Christian still in bondage to sin and seriously consider this to be a major concern, I urge you to take the crucial step in discovering the true message, purpose, and supernatural power of Jesus which will result in Biblically verifiable evidence in your life, reflecting true noticeable FREEDOM!
